Snow
I remember when it snowed
When the snow on the ground was six feet high
and the air was minus fifty-five
and we walked to school up hill, BOTH WAYS!
in the snow, in the snow, in the snow.
When my face was numb and the snow on my tongue
snow is falling from the sky now it’s ten feet high
crystals on the window pane cold is driving me insane
snowballs flying through the air
in my hair, down my neck, what the heck!
icy ears, icy nose, icy fingers, icy toes,
all it does is snows and snows and
snows and snows and snows and snows and snows…
fifteen feet, not one inch less.
Sleigh-bells ringing, children singing
especially when tobogganing-ing
siding down the BUMP!
sliding down the BUMP!
sliding down the hill with a dog on my back.
